Slightly disappointed

Just got it yesterday. The ice maker works but the water dispenser does not. We already have to have service on the unit. Very frustrating.

Doesn’t hold adequate temperature in refrigerator

The refrigerator does not keep food as cold as I am used to. It is set at the lowest setting, 34 degrees, and with 2 different thermometers inside it consistently measures 39-40 degrees. Seriously thinking of sending it back! The freezer and drawer work fine and I like the look of it. Also the air filtration is lacking compared to previous fridges I have owned. Pretty disappointed considering the positive reviews.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my GE

The front doors are great. The ice maker is quiet and the in door water dispenser is easy to use.
This GE refrigerator replaced a Samsung refrigerator that had many issues in addition to not finding anyone for service.

So far filled with regret

Refrigerator was delivered and installed yesterday. We were told it would take approximately 4 hours for the freezer to get to temperature and 24 hours for it to stabilize to where it wouldn't drop when the doors were open. You can imagine my suprise and frustration when I opened it this morning only to find everything was thawed. Should have kept my old fridge...it was 23 years old but it still did what it was supposed to.
Now I know things like this can happen and while it is frustrating, I.am sure it is fairly common so I thought let me scan the QR code and take a look at the owner's manual to see if they have any troubleshooting ideas. Scanned code, it took me to website but half the options don't do anything, this includes the "owners manual" option. Press it, nothing...press again, nothing.....Too bad for GE the "leave review" option worked because this review is being written at the height of my frustration.
Hopefully, the business we bought it from can do better in making it right than GE can in making a freezer cold. We shall see once they open.

Looks good, doesn’t work and no one cares

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First few hours after delivery, refrigerator controls did not work. Found control cable disconnected. Water to fridge does not work, no water flow to fill water pitcher in fridge. Instructions say to turn on ice maker by pressing button. No button to turn on ice maker. I’m ashamed to be a GE employee and see the level of service provided.

Spacious, Well-Lit Fridge with Great Features

I've only had the refrigerator for two weeks, but it has been working as well as I could've expected. What was unexpected was the amount of space available inside the refrigerator, the convenience drawer, and the freezer: it's very easy to sort my condiments by type and size and my various food and drink items. The interior lighting is superb; when friends open it, they almost audibly gasp. My ice maker began making quality cubes within 24 hours, and the water pitcher on the door is super convenient (and always chilled and full). It looks great in my kitchen, too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed with 'smart' benefits

The water filter leaks and I am constantly cleaning up water from the water container. I got so fed up with cleaning up leaking water that I had to take the container out and turn off the automatic re-fill. What a waste. ALSO the smaller door within the right door handle does not open when I pull the handle. So I have to open both doors plus the smaller door in order to get full access. For such an expensive refrigerator, I would think the smart benefits would be a perk!

Love third door, wish half shelf opened sideways

Good looking fridge. Having the whole back panel lit instead of a single bulb really helps. The approval door for the milk jug area is really essential. It makes loading and unloading the milk really easy.
The only negative is that the only place to keep tall bottles is in the milk area or in front of the half shelf. That kind of limits access to the back of the fridge. I wish the half shelf became half sideways instead of front to back.
I would recommend this to a friend!
