My only issue thus far has been with the keyboard and edge lighting. When the laptop goes to sleep. The pulsing edge lighting can be annoying and it is difficult to turn off.

The laptop'c cpu spikes to 100 C while idling or gaming both, gpu goes 90 C while gaming. Poor job on liquid metal application was the issue. Needed to repair it myself

We do understand your concern about this laptop's thermal issues. It is normal that excessive heat is generated while the laptop is under heavy load. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. To resolve this, ensure the air ventilation is free from obstructions to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. Furthermore, check in the Task Manager for resource-hungry applications, processes or services that are running in the background and disable them if not being used. Running these applications simultaneously will certainly spike the temperature and will cause an auto-reboot, or an auto restart. Additionally, configure your system, video, game and operating mode settings inside the Armoury Crate utility. Furthermore, ensure Windows, drivers, BIOS, games and applications are up to date. Updates for this laptop are available at: https://rog.asus.com/us/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-scar-18-2024/helpdesk_download/ .
