I purchased the Asus TUF Gaming OC 4090 about a week ago and am thoroughly impressed. Upgrading from a 3090, this 4090 runs cooler with stock fan settings than the 3090 with aggressive fan curves and the brute power is just unbeatable. Build quality and aesthetically it feels and looks like a premium product. I am leaving out any comments on pricing because if you want to have the best you have to pay for it. I have found only 3 minor downsides to the card however none of them deal breakers or affect performance. The first is the cable length, the cable is so short that all of the 4 8pin cables are showing in the case instead of being long enough to run the single cable out of view. Second is the lack of an included gpu support and Asus is missing a branding opportunity by not including one with their name. The third is that only the Tuf Gaming logo and a small portion underneath have rgb lighting where as they could have also illuminated the GeForce RTX logo.

A lot of performance with potentially less power

Given the immense raw power of the 4090, I spent a lot of time finding the perfect undervolt configuration for my needs. Despite what you might see online by a few misinformed YouTubers, undervolting the 4090 is an amazing opportunity. There is so much performance to be had at remarkably less voltage, even when overclocking. I can run the card at 870mV with 2200 GPU/ 10000 MEM clocks and plow thru 90% of the games I play at 3440x1440@120Hz. When it's time for more, 975mV will get 2820 GPU and 18750 MEM clocks, which is above what the card will ever do on its own, and with plenty of power to spare.
I haven't tried an absolute max overclocking yet only because there aren't any games I play where all of this performance is truly necessary. It's so good...
