[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 990 Pro EVO 1TB has been an absolute beast in my setup. The speed alone makes it worth every penny—boot times are basically instant, games load in a blink, and large file transfers feel effortless. It's one of those upgrades you notice immediately.
Installation was super simple. Pop it into the M.2 slot, tighten one screw, and it was ready to go. Samsung’s software recognized it instantly and made setup smooth.
Temperatures have been surprisingly low, even under heavy loads. Whether I’m gaming, editing, or running multiple programs, it stays cool and stable, which is huge for performance and longevity.
On top of that, it just looks good. The clean design and compact layout make it fit perfectly into a modern build—no bulky heatsink or awkward appearance.
Overall, the 990 Pro EVO 1TB is fast, cool, easy to install, and visually clean. Definitely one of the best NVMe drives you can get right now.

Another SOLID drive in the Evo series

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] During the 8 years that I have been booting off a 970 Evo, I have had three other drives fail me. A Seagate, WD, and PNY. The PNY I was expecting to fail, but not the other two given their load as mere game libraries. Still, the 970 Evo shows no signs of age in that time, despite being my C drive. It was an easy decision then, to buy another Samsung drive for my other M.2 slot. The 990 Evo is every bit as good-looking as it's predecessor(which is a weirdly neglected design consideration by some manufacturers, we like to display our internals these days) and also comes with no heatsink. While my 970 did occasionally throttle during very large transfers, the 990 never seems to, maintaining its significantly faster speed no matter what I throw at it. As long as Samsung keeps making the best stuff, I'll keep buying Samsung.

Having a storage device able to last over 20 years really brings peace of mind that it will never crap out on me. It's a great card and for the price it's hard to beat 2TB of super fast reliable storage
