Great for additional storage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ssd drive is great for when you need a bit of extra storage. Very useful when gaming as I don’t need to pay for a cloud subscription and can keep all my things in my pc. Highly recommend for those who need more storage and for gamers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The read speed initially was 4820 MB/s which is really great. I used this in my PS5 so now I have lots of space for new games. Samsung knocked it out of the park with this one.

Speedy ssd on a budget!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive the Samsung 990 Evo as I had previously been looking at an SSD to upgrade my PS5 console storage. This M.2 drive was compatible with the PS5, and the box states a Read speed of UP TO 5,000MB/s. To which i can atest is true. Pictured you will see the compatibility of my PS5 reading the drive and getting the read speed of 4,988MB/s, which is fantastic. As stated above, the box claims up to 5k Read Speed, and it sure does just scratch the surface of 5kMB/s. I also tested how fast it could switch over 2 high GB games, such as MW3 (latest title) as well as GTA5. Two games I over on my console that currently sucked dry my internal storage. Collectively, they harbored a whopping 256.7GB. The best part is on PS4 with an external drive. This would've taken HOURS, which i've experienced as i have the WD_Black edition External drive. Doing it on this SSD took a matter of mins. At first, it showed an hour, then the upload count kept jumping from 3gbs to 6gb to 10gbs, and that time bounced between 100s (1.67mins) then to 2mins and it stayed steady at that. All in all, I wasn't expecting that fast of file transfers, especially with this big of games for PS5. I am very happy with this SSD, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a starter drive on a budget!
