It's an ok little driver BUT the mechanism to make it work is a little ackward - instead of a button, you have to twist the collar while still trying to hold the driver in place. So instead of single handed operation, you're more likely to need both hands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi ARodTech
We are sorry to know you didn't fully enjoy your SD561201 4V Screwdriver. We want to make sure the performance of the equipment is up to standards. Our customer service line is 1(877)-754-5999. Thank you for being a SKIL customer.
Very nice quality. It's easy to grip with the right weight & feel. Power is sufficient. Easy to re-charge. I particularly love the storage case which includes a wide assortment of bits, there and ready when needed. Case holds everything securely in place. Also great that the bits are locked in place within the "pull back" collar and not relying only on magnetics. The circuit sensor is a bonus!! I recommend!!
If you are considering it.... just go ahead and buy it. You will be happy you did.
Very handy for many small jobs. I keep it in my kitchen “junk drawer” where I can grab it for a quick repair around the house. No need to drag out a bunch of bits or a full size drill. By the time I would do that…..I am already done.
I'm a 76 year old woman. I had put up a shelf over my toilet many years ago. Why I didn't use anchors I'll never know. I knew there were no studs. So anyway the shelf finally came crashing down. This time I bought screw in anchors. That meant I now had to screw in 12 screws (6 on each side). I had an old power screwdriver which I had overcharged so it had to be replaced. I bought this SKIL and put my screws in. What would have taken me days by hand was done in 30 minutes. Thank You SKIL. I love my new screwdriver.
Great little piece of gear! A friend lent me his, and I was so pleased, I purchased my own. I'm very pleased with how easy it is to use and how long it holds a charge. Very versatile, especially for small jobs where a drill would be bulky and overkill.
