Purchased to keep in my e-scooter bag for when I have flats to remove the screws on the brake discs, but it was too weak so I returned it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this thing and after having two surgeries on my wrist for repetitive stress of twisting screwdrivers, this not only prevents further injury, but speeds up the removal and insertion of longer screws. I love how it locks and allows you to tighten and loosen screws as well, but I would suggest only doing that if you didn't need a very tight fit. For what I do, I break screws loose and do the final tightening with a manual screwdriver or t-handle. The battery lasts all day with repetitive use, but I charge it only about once a week with daily infrequent use. One of my favorite features is the locking chuck like you have on an impact drill. This definitely sets it apart from other power screwdrivers I have used in the past, where your bit will get stuck and then stay on the screw when you pull your tool away. It also allows me to use socket adapters, which is a real bonus in my job. Sometimes I have really long bolts to remove, and the repetitive stress of a manual ratchet is hard on my wrist. Again, I just use the ratchet for initial loosening and final tightening. The light and voltage detector are icing on the cake and extremely useful, coming from a former electrician. The only con I would give after a few months of use is that I wish it had a cover for the charging port. Mine stays in my tool bag in my work vehicle most of the time and I have noticed that the inside of the charging port is starting to rust. I put it inside a plastic ziplock to prevent moisture from getting in, but I think having a plug on the port would definitely help.
It works great for my needs, mainly opening electrical panels, every now and then I will have to use an actual screwdriver because this one isn't strong enough to get the screws going. Other than that, it's been great
Sorry, but a severe illness in my home as prevented me from using this item. Relying upon the SKIL trade mark, I feel certain that the product will perform quite well, and I also feel that in the event I were to experience equipment failure SKIL will stand by it's product.
