Impact driver with lots of extras!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great impact driver, lots of power and a small size, plus I was really surprised at how much I liked the extra features Skil built in!
The tool: it's powerful, was able to remove lug nuts from my tires. It probably wouldn't loosen all lug nuts (lots of shops way overtighten them) but I torque mine down to spec and it was able to loosen them without a breaker bar. There are multiple speed settings, digital button instead of a hard switch but I liked it and there is a reversing mode that auto-slows after the bolt is loose. I LOVE the ring light, way better than the many other tools with lights I've used. It also has a setting to leave on for 10 seconds or 10 minutes, honestly it's great to quickly use as a flashlight...this is a huge plus.

The Battery: plenty of power, not sure how long it lasts but certainly long enough for any job I've tried. It also has a built-in USB jack (lots of other brands have special adapters to plug the battery in to but this is really convenient with it already there!) and it did charge my phone great (regular speed charge)
The Charger: It's a really big charger and also has a very loud fan while it's charging. Seemed to charge fast so I guess it needs the fan...I don't love the charger because of the noise but I really just care about the tool.
Overall, I can't say enough good things about this! I'm shocked at how thought out it is, how compact, and it's really making me consider switching some of my other tools to Skil!

Lots of power in a small package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Skil products for as long as I can remember and Skil have always been tough and long lasting with a quality I have come to expect and the Skil Power Core 20 3/8 drive impact has not disappointed me. First off this impact is super compact, so much so it makes my drill/driver look humongous! The battery is a whopping 2Ah at 20V and has the bonus of incorporating a USB port that provides a respectable 5.3W for phone charging and other on the go USB power needs. I do not have a torque tester so I have to settle for giving it tasks to perform and rate it from there. The most impressive task to me, considering that it is a 3/8 impact was that it had zero issues removing lugs from our 2015 Dart or our 2004 Jeep WJ. Even lugs that had been on for years it took off with ease. I also did several projects with long lag bolts that it just zipped right into 4x4 post with ease. I did not feel that it would be able to handle that and Skil has proven me wrong. Moving on the impact has three speeds in both directions as well as a special mode for reverse only called Reverse Control Mode which will auto stop the drill as soon as it detects that it has loosened the bolt or nut to prevent loss. And finally the impact has a built in worklight in the head, which to me is awesome, no more one sided illumination when working at night or in low light. There are two light modes, low which stays on for 10 seconds and high which stays on for 10 minutes (600 seconds) to act as a work light. All in all I am seriously impressed with this small impact that does big work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a must have if your handy and work on vehicles. This power tool has great torque and is easy to maneuver. The battery last a long time and charges quickly. The tool is comfortable in hand and not to heavy for use. I feel it’s a must have for any mechanics garage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up to have a quick,handy to grab impact in the truck,i did not think it would be enough for some things like wheels and what not, but a friend of mine had a flat and called me to come help him, i get there and he doesnt have a 4-way or wheel lug wrench so i pull out this impact and tell him "this probably wont work but won't hurt to try" i tossed a 3/4" x 3/8" drive socket on it and zipped his lug nuts off no problem,so i was very impressed with the torque,i would recommend it to anyone looking for a space saving impact as the size is less than half the size of my bigger 3/4" drive impacts.
