Not as good as the prior version, by a long shot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had various smartphones since 2013, Samsung since 2016. Though this one was billed as a vast improvement, only the 5G capability is a step up.it also charges quickly. Otherwise, its design is not v user-friendly. For example, charging and plugging in my earbuds at the same time is impossible because the same port is used for both. I've also had trouble rotating the screen (for ex. , if I want a landscape rather than a portrait orientation), and the settings are not much help (that is, I couldn't find a workaround for this issue no matter where I looked). Lastly, some apps don't work nearly as well as on my prior phone: I've had Zoom crash on me, and, when I use GoogleMaps or the GoogleApp to locate someplace I want to go (using the phrase, "near me"), it will give me results in a prior location.
I don't require anything fancy like games or even videos, which I rarely view on my phone; I use it for social media, other messaging like texting, web browsing, and phonecalls, of which I make maybe 2/ day. So Galaxy AI is is of no use or interest. I hope that the next version will really be better.
