battery life is next to nothing

I had great expectations. They were dashed when the battery went dead after only one day. Found out had to turn off bluetooth, wifi and mobile data for the battery to last more than a day. Even with those off I could only get 3 days of standby time! I have always carried my phone in my shirt pocket with no problems, with this phone it feels like it is about to fall out of the pocket every time I lean forward. I do like the features and functions of the phone, I just wish it had the battery power to use them. When I use the internet it is fast. It also makes and receives calls well. It charges fast. I am going to contact LG about a new battery and if it works better I will update this review.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings

This phone is easy to use and besides being a phone I use it a lot on the internet. Most of the time it is with WiFi, but occasionally I use it when I'm not connected to the internet. I use the camera a lot and hardly ever use my digital camera anymore. The pictures are crisp and the videos also. We used it on a trip to Europe in July and the pics bring back wonderful memories.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

What Happen LG??

To be honest this phone was forced on me. I wanted the windows phone, but the store salesman recommended this phone. Saying this phone was best quality. I beg to differ. This phone accepts SD but apps and media do not move to the SD card. I had to take the SD card out of the phone and put music on it and most of the music never played. Apps would not move to the SD. The phone practically has no memory, which is terrible. After a few months of having the phone the mic stopped working. People actually could not hear me. The Phone freezes, it slows down extremely. Streaming is slow. I couldn't download anything, any app I downloaded had to be small in order to actually enjoy games or tools for business. I use my phone for school, business and sometimes I will do a word search puzzle and I had to search for a small size download in order to enjoy word searches. LG really lost my business. I really haven't seen any good phones from them lately. I don't feel like I got my money's worth this time.

It's a great phone, just not the best

This is a phone that I would not recommend to a working adult. I would recommend this to a student still in any grade level. This phone is great for calling and great for texting. The only problem that I have encountered while using the LG Escape is that I cannot figure out how to take a screen-shot and I can not connect to the wireless internet as easily as I want. This is a great device, it just has a few problems.
Pros: Style/Design

Poor speaker volume

With previous cell phones I had, you could put the phone on the seat of your car, and carry on a conversation while driving. With this phone, to have a conversation, you have to put it up close to your ear.
Of course, this invites a cop to give you a "cell phone" ticket, about $200 for driving with a hand-held device.
I could not find anyone to give me a clue how to increase the speaker volume.

Needs more storage. Needs a higher storage capacity for the apps. Overall not a bad product and I look forward to upgrading to G2.

My LG performs way beyond expectations.

I never thought this 80-year-old could handle the sophisticated technology found in my LG ESCAPE LGP870. However, after a several-day trial and error period and easy-to-follow instructions, this phone has proven to be the best purchase I've made in recent years. A "smart phone" it is . . . but one that even a techo-dummy can handle!

Good Speed and Value

This is the first Android smart phone I have owned. Admittedly, it was on the list of phones available to me at no charge when renewing my AT&T account. However, I did do some research and found it to be one of the better ones on that list. I have had this model now for a year, and have been pleased with its performance. The 4G speed is plenty fast for my data and communication usages - and I use the internet on this phone a lot for Twitter, blogging and other social media.. The 4.1.2 "Jelly Bean" menus are easy to use. I like using the NFC feature to exchange photos with my wife, who has the same model. Also, I have dropped it several times and it has physically held up just fine.
The only complaint I have is that it is impossible to load apps onto the SD card I purchased in order to save storage space in the internal memory. However, data storage to the card was easy to set up.
In summary, a good value with performance well within industry standards.
