Effective, but design needs improvement

I bought this in late fall and finally had a chance to use it in the spring. I have about 1000 feet or so of driveway to edge, and it was in dire need of a strong tool to get it done; everything else I've tried wore me out long before the work was done.
So, first, the pluses:
The motor is strong and the blade design is able to cut through most grass and weeds without too much difficulty.
The guide helps keep the edger in place.
The handle feels good and overall it is easy to use.

Now the minuses:
Keep in mind, I was using this in the spring when the grass is hardest to cut, and on some seriously overgrown edges; I gave this thing a workout.
Grass and direct, especially from the tougher roots, clumps up inside the blade well. I had to knock it a few times to clear it out.
The blade connection at the spindle is not designed well at all. There is a very small squared surface to transfer torque to the blade and make it spin. After about 800 feet of edging the center of the blade was reamed out and spun freely. Maybe under normal, regular maintenance conditions the blade would have lasted a long time, but under heavy duty work, it crapped out quickly.

All total I am happy with the edger. I only wish I had bought the three-pack of spare blades to start with.

Light weight

I had a difficult time using a heavy trimmer in the past. I decided to give WORX trimmer a try. I am glad I did! This is very light and easy to use for my small frame 5" tall, with103lbs frame 71 yrs old female. Switching of positions are so easy, I'm very happy with this product!

a couple of months ago i purchased my third lawn product a hedge trimmer this is so easy to use no more electric to be cut while useing my old hedge trimmer.every tooli have from worx has neen great very easy to use and well made.
