I needed a color printer, and gave away my ancient Brother B&W printer which was still working perfectly after decades of use. Decided to try inkjet printers -- such a disappointment. Difficult to set up, constant error messages, cartridges showing empty after a week, many calls to support; I finally gave up. After four purchases and returns, and many frustrating hours later, I found this Brother laser color printer at a very reasonable price. Works like a charm: beautiful prints, easy to set up, not a single problem. No. More. Stress.

Just what I was needing

I was a user of inkjet printers all of my life and i don't print pictures often but when I would want to, the ink was dry. This was pricier to begin with but I know I'll save a LOT of money in the long run. The machine is dependable too. Another thing I'm not used to in printers as well. If needed, i will be buying another Brother.

Great Printer

The best thing about Brother printers is, simply, that they WORK. They are not constantly 'off line' requiring hours of wasted time every time one wants to print something (recognize anyone, HP?) the print quality is great and they last forever, at least in my experience. The wireless setup was fast and easy and it has been solidly on line and available ever since. I don't mind spending money on a good product, and this is a good product.

Good printer. I have only had to reset the wi-fi one time in the 7 months I have had it. It is NEVER 'offline', quite unlike the $$$ HP Laser that was ALWAYS offline and therefore was replaced by the HL-L3300CDW. The Brother has not malfunctioned nor has it not been available on the network once. Not once. Click 'print' and it prints. Every time. HP could learn a good lesson from Brother. Also the print quality is very good and it seems good on toner usage. I would buy another if I needed another printer.

Basic printer scanner

Prints fine and easy to set up with WiFi printing. Didn’t require a special app to set it up on my windows computer. Easy enough to put in the first set of toner cartridges.
