We'd like to help with the cooktop lights not shutting off. We recommend performing an electronic reset. This can be done by shutting off power at the breaker for 2-3 minutes, then powering it back on.
If the issue persists, we recommend scheduling service with our Bodewell team. You can do so by calling 1-833-426-3393 or by visiting this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service
This is a replacement for a GE cooktop we purchased over 25 years ago. We were especially pleased with the fact that it fit in place without any alterations to our countertop. Like the look.
The cooktop came in a day later, but it was OK. In 1 day the hot surface on one element stayed on and never turned off, even the next day was still on. Yesterday two days after installation left rear burner quit working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We would like to help you with the burner operation of your unit. We recommend checking that the burner is properly leveled by following these steps:
First, cut power to the range by unplugging the unit, switching off the breaker, or removing the fuse. While the coil is flat in the burner bowl, push it back toward the receptacle clip and then lift the burner assembly out. Inspect the terminals for any bending—if they appear bent, gently straighten them so the coil can sit flat. If there are slots in the burner bowl, ensure the heater support is correctly seated in those slots. Finally, push the entire assembly back into the receptacle and make sure the coil is flat and secure on the cooktop.
If the issue persists after troubleshooting, we recommend scheduling service with one of our Bodewell technicians by calling 1-833-426-3393 or visiting us online at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm.
Painted/enameled bottom and cast iron cookware are not recommended for use on this glass surface cooktop. Had I known this previously, I may have chosen another product. Otherwise it works fine. Installation was great.
