I don't think the carbon filters help to keep it from smelling bad, it still smells bad, my regular litter box smells cleaner than the robot 4, I am just not impressed

I am not totally impressed with the robot 4, the smell is horrible, the only thing is that I don't have to scoop litter everyday but I have to stay on top or the odor will be bad and/or the cats will mess with the robot while it is trying to clean. I thought for that kind of money the smell would be less, but my normal litter box smells better

Since I started using the liter robot 4, I no longer smell any Oder. I believe that is due to the carbon filters

Love that I don't have to scoop!

I love that I don't have to scoop every day. I gave it a 4 because the filters or such a specific shape that you have to buy the litter borot brand. Also, the bags are very expensive too. On the other hand, I use way less litter than I used to and the filters really help control the smell. You have to change the filter! Also, if dust gets on the sensors litter robot will not run a cycle. You have to take a dust cloth and clean off the dust.

Get the Filters!!

I’ve had litter Robots for years and never really kept up with changing filters. Well, now I have downsized and the only place for my LR is in a corner in my bedroom. I never realized how effective the filters are. So, do yourself a favor and change your filters every month. Just do it when you change your HVAC filter. You’ll thank me later. :)
