great little tool for general gardening work. Very helpful for individuals that are up in age and have a hard time with their grip strength. Unit is well balanced and easy to handle. Cut well. Only suggestion I would make is have the blade be in a closed position when not in use. Other thank that I would recommend.

Purchased yesterday, found a screaming 70% off sale for the WORX Hydroshot, my first WORX product. This unit was on sale at 30% off—had been wanting to buy one, but was deliberating between Ridgid and Milwaukee. Since on sale…what have I to lose. Unpackaged and battery charged within 30 minutes. We set off to test its mettle. We have many burning bushes and red dosier dogwood shrubs. Anyone with these understands how much pruning can be required. Knowing that dead branches are the toughest, we put it right to the test. We did find two largest branches did require and extra cut, but everything cut cleanly in one pull of the trigger. This thing is amazing…WHY did we not buy 2?! No one likes to share when having so much fun! We executed roughly 150 cuts and the battery isn’t even off of the full led bar yet. Will highly recommend to everyone I talk to about this. Now some cons: 1) The trigger mechanism requires attention while pulling, to retain a pool normal to the engineered travel path. There were cuts by both of us where you could feel the trigger clicking into position. I could see this becoming a breakage opportunity if we don’t pay attention. 2) While I do understand dead branches are tighter to lop/prune, I didn’t expect the edge to become dull in one day. It’s not technically dull, per se, but in the common cutting position, the edge is definitely rolled and factory edge no longer intact. I have skills and tools to sharpen when needed, but would be b REAL NICE to have some spares in the tool box. I do NOT find where these are available to purchase anywhere on this site. If someone can help me out with that I’d be most appreciative. Great product—will DEF be buying another so we can each have fun, as well as to loan out as requested.

Have abused this for 3+ years! AMAZING

This is the type of (potentially finger threatening) tool that you DO NOT want to find the cheapest of. Ive cut green limbs larger than could fit inside the blades and take 3-4 nips of and it just laughs and does it. Ive cut through thin plant boards when in quick need of firewood…yeah. I know. Ultimately I wanted to find a flaw in the powered shears/loppers before I gave them to my elderly mother (75) whom cannot use manual shears for simple plant trimming… hand skin issues, etc. She just is in awe and happy after using them EACH time! Battery lasts under MY abuse for MONTHS! I have to remove the battery to use in my other tools before it gets down to 2 battery indicator lights. No lie. Only issue I had was the bolt and lock washer backed off a bit after the first years use (noticed thin flower and small bush trimmings were folding over rather than being cut) and I tightened it back up and have had ZERO issues with it or anything else since!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pruner greatly eases the maintenance of bushes, shrubbery and tree branches. It is sharp, fast and fits the hand nicely. The battery lasts me all day. It is a pleasure to use. It took me a few minues to get used to programming the three positions but do it twice and it then becomes automatic. I use the closed position as home base and do the full open and half open positions from there. Buy one you will like it.
