I purchased this grill as a replacement for my Genesis II grill. I was disappointed to learn that the E-315 has differently sized grill inserts which means that the griddle I purchased for my Genesis II will not work well with the E-315. Also there is no access hole on the console face that can accommodate the temperature monitor that came with the Genesis II. Other than that, the grill is fine. Weber’s strategy appears to make the accessory items used with the Genesis II obsolete so that all new accessory items will need to be purchased for the E-315.

I love this grill I previously had a weber for over 12 yrs got rid of it for a smoker a while back. Finally went back to a gas grill got another brand that’s supposed to be similar only cause i got a deal. After using it for 8 months it did not compare at all finally was able to get the good old weber bak and i am so happy i did.
I’ve always used Weber. My last Genesis stainless steel lasted over 20 years before the bottom cabinet rusted through, including the support frame. I live at the coast so I was pleased at the longevity of the old grill. My new one has much better ignition, flare up control, and quicker heating. This one is also stainless steel. It should outlive me!
You cannot go wrong with a Weber grill. I replaced my 20-year-old weber last month. The only reason I did, was the underneath sheet metal was rotted away. Whatever the food is that getting cooked comes out amazing. Weber does an amazing job
Haven't used it but now have it on my deck, ready to go for summer. Having trouble finding the correct cover for it. Nothing specific to fit. Solid purchase.
I have used this new grill a few times, and love it so far. I used to have a pellet grill that was a plug in elctric, and obviously had to add the pellets each time. I prefer the simplicty of going back to propane, and an ignighter button. Starts up so easy and heats up quickly.. It just took a couple of times to figure out where to set the dial for specefic temps. This is the Genesis E315 which is bigger than the Spirit. There is ample room to grill for a crowd. It ihas a little higher quality grates and stability than the Spirit. It looks nice and the wheels roll easily, not grinding on my deck. I reccomend this grill, and unless you are on more of a budget, I would choose this over the Spirit. Also to note, I got this in black, and I like that better than stainless. The side shelves are gray, which breaks it up a bit. Not worth paying the extra price for the stainless, besides, it is typically covered when not in use anyway.

Just finish building new genisis and a few small differences were noticed immediately. Sheet metal sides and rear are shorter in height as my previous 2013 model which leaves things more exposed. Also ignition module is now located in the lower cabinet leaving it open to the weather due to shorter sides and rear. Propane tank gauge is no more. The heat shield on the lid used to wrap the whole lid now only protects the front half where the temp gauge is. The new redesigned genesis has been degraded for sure. Will it hold up as well as the previous generation genesis, only time will tell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
