Heats up very quickly compared to my old grill, the burners are arranged different so much easier to direct the heat to one side or cook indirectly. I like the enclosed bottom, hides the gas bottle and provides a little storage. The grease trap seems improved, time will tell how it performs. Still learning how it cooks, going to use it tonight, ask me next year again
Like the grill a lot. Don’t like that I have to hang the propane tank. There isn’t a gauge reader. Expensive enough- make the bottom sturdier so the tank can sit on it!
My first 2 times I could not get temp over 240F, even w all burners on fully up. Then changed tank and still same. Used it a 4th tome last nt, and seemed to be better, but still not achieving temps I would expect. Likely will have to reach out to Weber.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback, and we apologize for the frustration. Your grill should easily reach 500°F.
If your grill is not reaching the desired temperature, there are a few things to check. Let's start with the easy stuff:
1. Please make sure you consider "High" on your control knobs to be the first spot to your left (the 9:00 position). The further you go to the right, the lower the temperature will be, and all the way to the right is low.
2. Please make sure you're always cooking with the lid down except when flipping the food halfway. The second you open the lid the heat escapes, and you'll need to close it to let the temperature recover.
3. It sounds like your grill may be in a safety mode known as “bypass." What’s happening is that the regulator thinks there’s a gas leak, so it reduces the pressure.
Perform a soapy water leak test to check for leaks. If there is no leak, follow these instructions to reset the bypass safety mode. This is not only the reset, but how you want to light your grill each and every time.
Open the lid Make sure all knobs are in the off position Turn your LP tank on all the way Wait 60 seconds - This is the MOST important part. Turn light the first burner and leave it on high Turn on remaining burners one at a time and set each to high Close the lid Let your grill preheat to 450°F-500°F
