Same issues as before constant flare ups from any grease that drops onto bars this version is even more difficult to clean because of all the grooves in the lower bars and the grease trap at the bottom is almost as thin as paper should be much better for the price

We understand your concern about the constant flare-ups, and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. While flare-ups can never be eliminated completely, we highly recommend cleaning your grill periodically, especially the grates and flavorizer bars. If using a marinade, get as much excess liquid off as possible before putting the food on the grill. If using a sauce, wait until the last 5-10 minutes to apply. We hope this information helps. We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to the appropriate team. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you need further assistance. This is my third Weber grill. The last one lasted 20 years with a few replacement parts along the way. I gave it to someone who is going to replace the gas outlet and it will probably last longer!
Got it home only to find there was no tank gauge! Seriously?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The grill is awesome! The stainless steel grates are much easier to clean than my previous model. The grill heats up to 550, which is more than adequate for anything I need to grill. Heat is distributed well and the heavy-duty lid keeps the heat in well.
My previous Weber (from around 2015) had a much heavier lid and heat transfer plates, I thought, and so I think Weber is thinning the metal out. I'd rather pay more for a more solid lid and box. The grill lights up reliably and the first few sessions, the meat turned out just fine. I think it's a good grill. It cleans up nicely because of the stainless steel, and seems to be an easy, maintainable grill. The one thing that really concerns me though, is the heat transfer plates get red hot, and I mean RED hot and I think that could become a huge fire hazard, so do NOT leave your grill unattended.
