Overall, our E-315 grill has been great. It was relatively simple to assemble, looks good and provides even, consistent cooking. The only concern that I have is that for a unit that seems well built, it has cheap plastic control nobs. The nobs don't have the feel of a high-end grill and are flat. As the primary connection between the griller and the grill, the nobs should feel "good" to use. I am used to control nobs that are raised in the middle to provide a bit of a "handle" to turn the nob. The raised section also acts as an indicator of the level/temperature you are cooking at. Because the E-315's nobs are flat, I have on three occasions, thought I had turned the grill off but in fact, left it on low. As a result, I have emptied two tanks of propane. I guess I will just have to pay closer attention when I shut the grill down.
I can't believe I waited until I was 70 years old to get my first Weber grill! It stands heads and tails over any other grill I have ever owned! I hope I live to be 90, so I can enjoy it for many years to come!!
When I brought the E-315 I was skeptical about how it would perform. I was impresed with the flame getting so low so not to burn whatever I was grilling. I'm very satisfied with the choice I made. Now I need to get accessories, which is a pain to find the correct ones for my model.
I do like the grill. Some parts of the frame were dinged when taken out of the box, which did make me slightly upset. The grill overall works well. The grill heats up quickly but has difficulty in the lower temps.
