I bought the high end Weber propane grill as a replacement on recommendations from Son-in Law and others. Have had it nearly a month now. Despite using Weber cooking spray disappointed on how food still sticks to the coated cast iron grates and doesn't clean easily. Called Weber customer service who says it will get better as it gets "seasoned"?? I also bought and used the Weber S.S. bristle cleaning brush(although still better than expensive helix NON-BRISLE type). Found it difficult to hang the propane tank on the hook(w/o gauge). I find it unacceptable that there's exposed wires in an open panel under the grill(below shelf area).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hard to assemble. Wires are in the way and exposed when cleaning. Sheet metal is way thinner. Casters are better than the old. Side shelving wiggle around. Old accessories and cover don't fit. Doesn't come with propane amount indicator anymore (and old one won't fit). Overall not the quality as the old but hey, they only last 10 years anyway so it doesn't matter.
I set this up myself and it was super helpful with the BILT app. Great grill and would recommend to anyone on the fence of buying. Love the amount of space on the grill and the wheels are a bonus feature I didn't realize I would love when moving around.
Needed a replacement BBQ for our previous Weber (14 years old) and this fit the bill. We were very happy with our old Weber that we wouldn't think now of owning another brand. Straightforward to assemble. Liked the change in design to the under BBQ drip tray - great that it's so easily removable for cleaning. Also, the venting along the sides makes for easier access to components. The burners are definitely an upgrade from our older Weber, and provide steady, controllable heat. The larger grill surface fits our needs.
ELECTRIC IGNITER we bought a brand new Weber grill and the electric igniter would never work

After 13 1/2 years of using my previous Weber grill, I decided it was time to buy a new one. I bought the Genesis S-315. For any engineers, you will be happy to know that assembly took about 2 hours BUT each piece is built with precision and fits perfectly. The grill started right up the 1st time. It heated up to about 400 degrees in a matter of minutes which was perfect to sear steaks. In the 1st week, I have cooked steaks, chicken, asparagus and eggplant on the grill. LOVE IT! Would recommend to anybody looking for a grill.
