New grill comes with exposed wires on each side. Very dangerous for little kids and also exposed to outside elements.

nice grill, but there could be small improvements.

nice grill, but there could be small improvements. The side shelves are not a thick as they used to be on the genesis. Not really a deal breaker, but i do notice that they scratch a lot easier than previous genesis. Overall build is good and solid. I do regret not getting the sear burner model. i have noticed that it takes a good amount of time to really get to a high temp and stay there when you are trying to sear steak. but lower temps stay consistent even opening the lid. Just notice that it takes a while for higher temps to come back after opened
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Warranty Coverage

Warranty issue was not addressed when submitted for repair (rust spots developing on 1 year old hood already; must have been an issue during production). Was told that it doesn't meet Webers level of damage to be replaced, so I have to deal with the imperfections in my hood until they rust all the way through before they will replace the hood.

The side of the Grill started to burn and paint to peel off after first use. Weber did replace the casing unit which was wonderful from the warrant department, but that still shouldnt be happening after 1 time use.

Response from weber.comBy Consumer CareWeberSeptember 6, 2025
We appreciate your feedback on the Genesis S-315 Gas Grill. The newer Genesis models no longer include the tank scale, and it is sold separately. You can purchase the tank scale online, through our Consumer Care Team, or at your local retailer. Thank you!

Lower Quality With New Version

The differences between my old Genesis E-315 illustrate what happens when a company concentrates on cost reduction instead of quality. Eliminating the spring indicator showing gas level in the tank and making the unit less rugged are but 2 examples.

Rust within 3 weeks of purchase!
on August 14, 2025

This grill began rusting on three separate parts within 3 weeks of purchase and assembly. I followed the instructions in the Weber manual including covering the grill at all times when not in use. When reaching out to Weber about the issue, they claimed that the rust is from being located in a "coastal area" (I'm 6 miles from the beach). But after 3 weeks? I call this either defective or poor quality from Weber.
