The griddle insert works great but I have to leave the grills on because the griddle is a tad too small for my older model Weber grill. Weber told me up front that that would be the case. It griddles fine and cleanup is easy.

The griddle is too small . I ordered the correct one for my barbacue . The griddle barely sits on the edges so it falls in when making smash burgers .

Too small for Genesis S300

I bought a year ago. Not ideal.
I have a 2016 Genesis S330 and it’s too small to sit on the ledge of the cook tub (the ledges the grates sit on).
So I have to place it on top of the grates to keep it level and the lid doesn’t close completely. But I can cook with it. Again not ideal.
Is there a add-on “hanger-ledge” to allow it to fit into the tub?

At first it struck me as a little pricey so I waited for it to go on sale. When it arrived I could see the quality matched the price. It is pretty heavy and well made. It is like having a second grill. The only down side is it does take the entire surface of the grill (we have the base size smoker, not the XL). It would be nice to have a little area where I could grill something on the grates for the side but this is certainly not a show stopper.
