This is an updated review. I have used this griddle insert twice now. Once for some bacon fried street corn, and secondly on some cheese steak sandwiches. The first time I used this griddle, I was getting some smoke in my face, but it might have been weather related and a more windy day or something. This didn't happen at all the second time I used the insert. The griddle fits into place nicely and is quite straightforward and easy to use. My favorite part is that it fits into my oven which makes cleanup a breeze. After cleaning the griddle, I simply reseason it quickly in the oven and it's all set up and ready to go for next time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great addition without needing another propane bot

Absolutely love it! The wife was up my "you know what" about getting a griddle and I told her I didn't want another propane powered cooking device on my deck (we have limited space at the boathouse); and I didnt want the maintenance as well. This insert fits like a glove! Edge to edge-front back and sides! Great addition! Had 15 people in for the weekend and all who cooked on it loved it!

Does not fit 2025 Spirit 3 burner

The description (and the box!) for this item state it fits a “2016+” Spirit 3-burner. Which logically should include 2025. Only in the checkbox when checking out does it specifically state that 2016+ actually means 2016-2024. This does not fit a 2025 Spirit 3-burner model. Same as a review from another person.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was hoping this would function like a true flattop griddle and not some compromise. It doesn’t disappoint. This cooks just like a flattop, and I don’t feel like it lacks for anything.
The one thing I was concerned about was the grease management. After cooking several meals, I have no issue.
Now I have the best of both worlds, a grill, a flattop griddle, all within one footprint. A very versatile kitchen all within one device.

This is an extremely nice griddle. It fits perfectly on my Weber Spirit. The griddle is tough, heavy and durable. I can see it lasting for decades with proper care. I’m new to griddling and have used it frequently from the time I brought it. I would highly recommend purchasing one!

Love this griddle insert! This heats up quick...cooks food evenly. Already have enjoyed smashburgers and quesadillas.
I have so much fun using. Clean up and seasoning is standard for cast iron griddle. I love my weber grill and I love it even more adding this griddle insert. Great gift for Christmas
