Bought over a year ago and use it a lot. I have limited space in my outdoor kitchen and this takes the place of a separate appliance and works just as well. It is quite heavy.
The griddle works great. Very nice product, heats up quickly, and distribution of heat over the griddle is even. Cleaning is easy and quick, less messy.
First use was 2 lbs of bacon, 1 pound followed by a 2nd pound, grease leaked all the way down into the cabinet below - not into the drip pan at all. It is way to heavy to be really used frequently. Maybe ok for pancakes or grilled cheese but not bacon or burgers as recommended inset up instructions.
I love my new griddle. It fit perfectly on my grill, and I love using it. I have already had my best home, cooked salmon, burgers and steaks that I’ve ever grilled!
This griddle is heavy, well made and fits perfectly. I’ve used to prepare a number of items over a few weeks, and for the most part, mostly successful. Separately I purchased the Weber griddle cleaning kit which has been useful. However, in spite of that, I have found the griddle difficult to clean. I am retiring the griddle and reinstalling the grates…for me, the better choice..
Was very skeptical about this purchase as it was a bit pricey! Now that I’ve learned how to best use it, I don’t think I’ll ever put the grates back. This cooks everything better than a grill!
It is convenient to have the space. Cooked on it last night for the first time, veggies and some fish. Worked well - the cleanup is a bit of a hassle, but it did perform well.
This is a heavy duty grill that should last for many years if properly cared for. The information states it comes pre-seasoned and ready to cook on, which I did, but in hindsight I would recommend seasoning it prior to the first cook. The seasoning and first cook did not go as well as planned, perhaps because I cooked on it first. But after a good cleaning and additional seasoning, it seems to be fine. But my veridict is still out on how well it cooks.
