I am very happy with this griddle insert. It fits my Weber natural gas grill perfectly. The surface works just as one would hope and thus it is easy to make smash burgers and other things without the meat sticking to the surface of the griddle. Here's a little tip for pizza. At 400 degrees, the surface is too hot for a frozen pizza, but what I do is put the pizza on a rack, then at the end, I'll put it directly on the surface to create a crispier crust.
Heavy duty for nice, even heat About .177" thick (4.5mm). I would like the same thing but only as a half griddle insert too, for the best of both worlds in one place. Half griddle, half grill.
It’s huge with room for any and everything. I used a seasoning oil and it cooks beautifully with negligible sticking and very easy cleanup. Steaks are terrific. I’m still in the early phases with it but I’m very pleased. It met my expectations and I would highly recommend it.
First time trying a griddle like this. Fit perfectly on my Weber. Love using it for everything from breakfast to steaks. Very heavy cast iron, and has been easy to take care of and keep clean.
