Been wanting to jump on the griddle train and with this new insert we were able to have our first smashmouth burgers at home. And after watching other griddle videos, our first attempt was a huge success. Seasoned twice before cooking burgers, had enough grease left to be able to just wipe off griddle without water so clean up was a sinch. The only two negatives are you get a lot of hot air coming out in front right at you and with the insert you do lose cooking space. I wish the width was about an inch wider so you get the entire surface. You also lose about 3 inches in the rear for the grease hole, which spans the entire width. If I start missing the regular grill grates I will just buy a new griddle. The burgers turned out so good that I cannot wait to keep cooking on it. Weber did something good here.

Doesn’t quite fit, it is fine horizontal but vertical it slips off edge and doesn’t lay flat.

The griddle is too small . I ordered the correct one for my barbacue . The griddle barely sits on the edges so it falls in when making smash burgers .

Too small for Genesis S300

I bought a year ago. Not ideal.
I have a 2016 Genesis S330 and it’s too small to sit on the ledge of the cook tub (the ledges the grates sit on).
So I have to place it on top of the grates to keep it level and the lid doesn’t close completely. But I can cook with it. Again not ideal.
Is there a add-on “hanger-ledge” to allow it to fit into the tub?
