Seemed to work as described. Was unaware of the seasoning process and the amount of grease that pooled on ther surface. The food cooked well on low but the heat did seem to vary tho I kept ot low.
I was really happy that I had purchased this accessory. It adds some options for different recipes. Grilled veggies, mushrooms, cheese steaks, smash burgers to name a few - without buying a whole new flat top. It heats up quickly and maintains a fairly consistent temperature across the griddle. There are a few down sides, first there some accessories like a flat iron that need to be included as well as a IR thermometer both for seasoning and cooking. Since the griddle is an add on the grease containment was a challenge when I cooked several burgers and bacon for a small group. The surface area was more of a challenge than I anticipated - sending a few hash browns in the air. That said it is a nice addition when I am only cooking for 3-4 people.
Simple to set up; simple to use; great results. We're experienced black pan and carbon steel wok users, so we seasoned the "pre-seasoned" top before cooking. Bought it a few weeks back and have used it daily since.
