First use was 2 lbs of bacon, 1 pound followed by a 2nd pound, grease leaked all the way down into the cabinet below - not into the drip pan at all. It is way to heavy to be really used frequently. Maybe ok for pancakes or grilled cheese but not bacon or burgers as recommended inset up instructions.

Does NOT fit older genesis 3 grills. This griddle falls right through and does not lay flat over the burners. I have to use it on top of the grates. Which reduces the heat, and takes longer to cook and does not work as well. It never was mentioned that it’s only for new genesis models.
The insert fits the whole grill space and would work well; however, it is very heavy and moving/storing it would be a chore. I returned it before using due to its weight. As of now there is no substitute for half its size.

Your feedback is important to us. We are sorry to hear about the difficulty you had lifting the griddle insert. Our Care Team will follow up to make sure this has been resolved. Please look for an outreach from us soon. Thank you!
Very unhappy. Takes FOREVER to heat up!!!! Would NOT recommend this at all. The paperwork says it is pre seasoned yet when you get it, you have to season it??? Very unhappy. Will be replacing it with a competitor griddle.
I like the griddle. I am disappointed in the item description "seasoned ready to use". The initial instructions recommend 2 more seasonings prior to cooking on it. Not what I expect from Weber. I own the 300, a Kettle Premium, and a Go Anywhere Premium.
