Well made, hard to clean

This griddle is heavy, well made and fits perfectly. I’ve used to prepare a number of items over a few weeks, and for the most part, mostly successful. Separately I purchased the Weber griddle cleaning kit which has been useful. However, in spite of that, I have found the griddle difficult to clean. I am retiring the griddle and reinstalling the grates…for me, the better choice..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Used this griddle insert with my Genesis 300 series and it was such a great product. Cooked the smash burgers with bacon quickly and the cleanup was easy. Definitely going to become the go to moving forward.

I was given a griddle insert as a birthday present last year to use on my GS-4. I followed the instructions in the booklet regarding "first time user", "seasoning your griddle" and "caring for your griddle." The griddle is not smooth. It has a lumpy surface in spots and it shows rust. I recently cooked hot dogs which were blackened and had to be wiped off before trying to eat them.

This is a very well built heavy duty griddle. Griddle area is much smaller than the outside dimensions. So double check that it’s going to be big enough for your needs.

Does Not Fit

We bought the E-325 Spirit Grill in May 2025 and specifically bought this griddle insert b/c it indicated it would work with models made since 2016. This is at least 4 inches too wide and clearly does not fit. Please confirm what griddle item fits on the E-325 b/c a griddle insert option was one of the main reasons we bought this.

Was very skeptical about this purchase as it was a bit pricey! Now that I’ve learned how to best use it, I don’t think I’ll ever put the grates back. This cooks everything better than a grill!
