This grill is awesome. Heats in a flash & is so versatile. Also looks very nice! But the magnet in the door fell down in the door the first day and the door won’t stay closed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing De-contenting and Customer Service
on September 2, 2025

I typically don't write reviews but was compelled to this time. The S-335 I bought 13 years ago gave up the ghost so I bought the same grill since it worked so well. I was very disappointed to receive my new grill and find that while it was two and a half times more expensive than my last one (yes, I do get prices go up) the grill I received was not a well built as the one I had and there are items not one the grill that were on models in the marketing material: 1. there was no folding warming rack (just a small stationary rack) 2. the propane gage was gone (this one blew me away that it would be eliminated) 3. the right side shelf was way smaller than shown 5. the heat shield shrunk from previous models 4. the shelf underneath the grill was taken out. I can't believe they marketing pictures show something other than what I received. I called Weber and after a 30 min wait was told that they took those items out to save cost on the grill and if I didn't like it than I could write a review. So disappointing from a company I have supported through many grills and smokers that I currently own. Would not recommend them.

Stainless Steel

The product was advertised has having stainless steel, grills and cover. Technically it is correct, but Weber uses 400 series stainless verses 300 stainless which will not rust as 400 will. The easy way to tell the difference is 400 series is magnetic as 300 is not. The advertisement is also a marketing ploy plus extra cost to the consumer. Knowing this, I purchased the S-335 anyway and I keep it under cover 100% of the time. The quality of the new Weber's is no where the same as the old units, as my last Weber lasted 15 years, no rust, just worked well. The gas manifold quit, so I was forced to get a new one.

Your feedback means a lot to us. We are very sorry to hear about your grill not getting hot. We are here to help.

It sounds like you may be activating a safety device built into the regulator. This safety device is a component of all LP gas regulators and is designed to reduce the flow of gas in the event of a leak.

You can inadvertently activate the safety device without having a gas leak. Typically, this occurs if you do not wait a sufficient time between opening the tank valve and the burner control knobs or if one or more of the burner control knobs is in an open position when opening the LP tank valve. When the safety device has been activated the grill is referred to as being in “bypass”.

Keep in mind that the safety device reacts to gas leaks. If a grill is in bypass, the gas connections and hose should be tested for leaks with a soap and water solution.

If you do activate the gas regulator safety device, the grill may struggle to reach high temperatures or may not light at all, even with all burners on the START/HIGH setting.

To ensure that you are not inadvertently activating the safety device as you turn on the grill, please use the following procedure:
Turn all burner control knobs to OFF, including the side burner control knob if present.
Visually confirm all burners are extinguished (no flame present)
Make sure the grill lid is open. Open the LP tank valve and then wait at least 60 seconds. This will allow the hose and regulator to pressurize.
Turn the appropriate burner control knob for your model grill to the START/HIGH position and then ignite the grill by pushing the ignition button.
Turn each of the other burner control knobs to high, one at a time, and press the igniter button (if applicable for your model). Repeat this process until all the burners have been lit.
Close the grill lid.
The grill should reach approximately 500 to 550 degrees in 10-15 minutes.
When you are done grilling:
Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position
Turn off the LP tank valve last.

Our Care team will also be reaching out to follow up. Please look for an email from us soon. Thank you!

Very early in using this new grill. However, it is much more cheaply made, with a much higher price than my previous Weber Genesis grill. Also, nearly every time I close the lud, the burners go out. Never had that happen before.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the disappointment, and we stand by the quality of our grills. Your grill is backed with a great warranty and the support of the Weber team.

If your grill's burners are going out, it sounds like your grill could be in bypass mode. What’s happening is that the regulator thinks there’s a gas leak, so it reduces the pressure.

Perform a soapy water leak test to check for leaks. If there is no leak, follow these instructions to reset the bypass safety mode. This is not only the reset, but how you want to light your grill each and every time.

Open the lid
Make sure all knobs are in the off position
Turn your LP tank on all the way
Wait 60 seconds
Turn the first burner to start/high
Hit your igniter
Turn on remaining burners one at a time and set each to high
Close the lid
Let your grill preheat to 500-550°F

Great grill. 4 stars only because the side burner will not light by pushing the button and runs way too hot, even on low. I have to use a stick lighter to get it going. Main chamber holds steady at about 350 with 2 burners on low which is about perfect for rotisserie cooking. It is large enough to cook 2 full chickens at once, that way, with my after market rotisserie. You have to remove the grates and put a drip pan under since the grease trap is quite small and is easily overwhelmed if mopping or just general grease dripping. The shelf that was in prior models would have come in handy to put a pan on if the tray gets full and overflows when cooking . Assembly is pretty straight forward and as a 63 year old man working by myself I didn't have any problems that I couldn't get past. As with other reviews, the propane gauge would have been nice but I do like the propane in the cabinet that allows for the side storage which is perfect for storing the grates when using the rotisserie or griddle. I am overall impressed with its capabilities.
