Genesis S-415 Gas Grill (Liquid Propane)

The grill cooks well and heats evenly, but be careful with the drip tray. It comes loose very easily and slides forward, allowing drippings to spill inside the grill and then to the deck or patio below.

We appreciate your feedback, and we are glad you are enjoying the grill. Before pulling the drip tray, ensure that the aluminum drip pan is not full to avoid spills. You can also remove the drip pan first, as it is easier to remove than the drip tray.
We hope this information helps. Please let us know directly if you have any further questions or concerns. We are always here to help. Thank you!

- Clunky and wobbly lid with small and cheap pins used for the lid hinge.
- Corrosion on flavorizer after an initial heat up and one-time grill use.
- The burner knobs look cheap and feel cheap and rub against the stainless steel front.
- Stainless steel facade for burner controls and the side shelves do not align with the shelving creating a protruding and sharp edge.
- Heat control isn't great - hard to maintain medium heat as it wants to go full, or is too low.
- The only positive is the casters roll nicely when you have to move the grill.
I put in a claim immediately, and after submitting multiple photos and videos of the issues, Weber's solution was to send me a bunch of hardware and told me to deconstruct and then reconstruct the grill. Seriously? I replaced some of the hardware to no improvement to the quality issues. Opening and closing the lid is still clunky and wobbly - the pins don't even align and other pieces still don't line up. My previous grill from 2013 was of such better build quality. Unless Weber can make things right, I will never buy another Weber, nor recommend one. It has sucked the joy out of grilling for me.

Grill cannot get to 300 degrees with winds at 13mph

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear the grill does not heat up on windy days. Our grills have been thoroughly tested to work in different seasons. When it is windy, it may be helpful to angle the grill so the wind is perpendicular to the flow of the gas through the burner tubes. If the burners go out while in operation, turn all gas valves off. Open the lid and wait 5 minutes before attempting to relight the grill.
We hope this information helps. We see that our service team has coordinated with you regarding this issue. Please know that your feedback is very important to us, and we will ensure we relay your experience to the relevant team. Let us know directly if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you!

Weber is the gold standard for grills, you really get what you pay for and the after sales support is unmatched. I previously owned a Genesis model that I replaced with an off brand propane grill. Worst mistake I ever made, 2 years later I’m back to Weber, because the difference in quality is clear.

Absolutely love this grill! The only thing is it doesn’t have the reader for the propane tank to tell me propane level. Which is slightly frustrating because it wasn’t a cheap grill.

The only issue I had was related to a larger quick connect then I had on my house. I have been using Weber’s Gas grills for awhile. It would be nice if you supplied a reducer from this quick connect down to what your previous grills needed

I just replaced my 13+ yr old Spirit model due to needing more cooking area and the bottom had rusted out due to me never covering it.
My E-415 has been great so far (about a month / 10 uses). I heats fairly quickly and seems to hold temperature well. The grill feels solid, well designed, and well manufactured.
It took me about an hour to put together by myself, but the manual and the app with the 3D view of the parts/steps were super easy to follow. I have had more difficulty putting together patio furniture. Whoever write's Weber's manuals is at the top of their craft.
I would definitely recommend this grill and a Mastertouch kettle if you do any smoking. I tend to use the Genesis during the week for quick dinners, and the kettle on the weekends for longer cooks.
