[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impressions: Looks and feels like a quality product. It's comparable in size to other door/window sensors on the market. It comes with a magnet that you can use instead of the smaller round piece, which gives you more flexibility depending on your install.
The new Matter-supported Aqara Door & Window sensor works great with HomeKit right out of the box! This one has Thread, so if you don't have an Aqara hub, it will still work if have a border router (Home Hub, etc). Basically, If you have Matter over Thread working in your home, and you need a door/window sensor to give you real time info, this sensor works perfectly and feedback is pretty much instant.
Only con so far is that the sensor needs to be pretty close to the magnet to work, but this hasn't been a problem for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an autistic child, who has elopement concerns so having this extra protection on the doors is amazing. Put one on the fridge to know when she leaves the fridge open also! Very easy installation and loud enough to hear from far.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I connected this to my Apple TV. It was simple and easy to do. I attached this sensor to my back door. I love how it alerts me on my phone every time my door opens. It is a good security tool. Would definitely recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sleek looking sensor. You can barely see it on the door. Works great. Nice and small. I highly recommend except you have to buy many of them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation is easy to install. The accuracy is great. The durability is wonderful. It's not really loud. The sensitivity is very good if you open the door a little bit it still goes off.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are definitely pluses and minuses to this nifty little window and door sensor. Plus: it’s affordable! Minus: you have to have a matter device. Plus: it’s relatively easy to set up. It can be put anywhere from a door or window to a drawer you don’t want opened. It’s sleek and subtle and not an eyesore. Minus: IT DOESN’T WORK WITH THE AQARA APP. I feel like this is maybe the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard, and it’s an absolute deterrent from me getting additional devices from this line.
