Ice maker is so slow

Bought the KitchenAid 48" built-in refrigerator in October of 2024. It looks very nice and keeps good temperature. The size is good and the various shelves and drawers provide very good organization. However the deal breaker for me and the reason I wouldn't recommend this refrigerator is how slow it is with making ice. We are a family of four and we are always out of ice. Our subzero before this made so much ice that the container was always full.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great refrigerator

Buyer beware

Im having the same issue that most people have had with their freezer. We've had this Fridge for 3 months. CONDENSATION on all my freezer items, they are wet and there's frost inside sealed food. It's a FOOD SAFETY ISSUE at this point and when the technician sent pictures to kitchenaid pro-line they said condensation is "normal". This is absurd! All this was after the second time a certified tech came out for same issue along with ice going everywhere. Currently trying to send pictures again and make them see that this is not normal but don't know if Kitchenaid will come through.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not buy

2 yrs old and failed. Service tech not available for 10 days. Prior to this the temps are inaccurate and regularly lost produce due to freezing. My neighbors have had similar temp problems We are buying a fridge for garage to try to salvage some items 11k ! What a crime

Waited 4 months beyond promised delivery and arrip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was promised for arrival in January, Finally arrived in April with a leak in the water dispenser. Now have to wait several more months for a whole new door. Kitchenaid service has been horrible.

Poor product

We bought ours in 2019. We have had the bulbs burn out, and recently replaced with a new model bulbs. We have had the refrigerator stop cooling and require service and replacement of control boards, water dispenser freeze up and stop functioning. Now we are waiting for freezer parts, which are supposed to solve the problem. The tech says after this just about everything will have been replaced and if this doesn’t fix it he will request a new refrigerator. I hope Whirlpool stands behind their product. As of now I would not recommend their product.
