Very Good But Room For Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall very good, but three things need improvement:
1. Outside display show the set temperature of the two compartments, 24/7. How often do you ever change the set temp?! No need to display continuously. Would be MUCH better if it displayed the ACTUAL temp inside the compartments, so you could warned if there was a problem!
2. Compressor is noisy when running if the room is quiet. This unit replaced my 17 year old GE Monogram, and we never heard the compressor in the GE.
3. The water and ice actuators you press against to operate take a LOT of pressure to operate and are very particular where you actually press on them. Could work much better.

Love my new refrigerator!

I installed my first built-in in 2008! Broke down last week and figured I had 18 good years so would just replace it! Always happy with KitchenAid appliances!

Great refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very happy with this refrigerator. It’s roomy and I like the side by side style. The shelves are well spaced and the door shelves really hold a lot. I’m not sure I need the marinating pan and don’t like the runners for it that are hanging from a shelf. The freezer is a good size and well planned out. The finish stays fingerprint free and is easy to clean and keep looking nice. It looks modern and clean in my kitchen. My only complaint is the water filter on the kick plate of the fridge and I have to lay on the ground to change it. The fridge is quiet and temps stay consistant.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Upgraded to newer model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 24-year-old KitchenAid served me well but the week before Christmas a replacement became necessary. The latest version of the 48" built in was unavailable until Feb 26, but I was fortunate to locate this one as a close out. It's an improvement over my previous model but it is somewhat noisy in comparison. You don't notice the noise until late when the house is quiet. Also, I hope it's not true but multiple appliance retailers advised that I should not expect to get 20 years out of this product any longer.

Great Capacity and Layout

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator/freezer hold a lot of stuff! I like the ample door storage. The slide out tray is really helpful for getting to items in the back. The drawers are well thought out.
