Love KitchenAid, Exceptional Product and Long Life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple a months ago and I am very happy with it. My last refrigerator was a KitchenAid and it lasted for more than 24 years. My double ovens and dish washer are still going strong, 24 plus years. Definitely, tells you something about the product.

Disappointed that it broke down after a year

We got this fridge a year ago and it stopped working recently. We couldn’t believe that an expensive fridge like this would break down so quickly. The person who came to repair it said the defroster has stopped working and the part he needs to repair it is on backorder. No word yet when it will arrive and it’s been over two weeks now that we have been without a working fridge or freezer. It’s beautiful and spacious but the quality of the product is definitely below average.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not stay cold, food goes bad

A beautiful looking refrigerator that unfortunately never worked well for us. The temperature inside the refrigerator fluctuates widely with high temperature alarms going off at least once a day. The refrigerator always has a high amount of humidity inside so produce goes bad within a day or two. We actually have to keep all of our produce in a second smaller refrigerator that we own because it goes bad very quicly in the KitchenAid. We also get puddles of water that come out of the bottom of the refrigerator. After having the refrigerator for 5 years it completely stopped working last week. An independent repairman came out and found a gas leak at the condenser.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great, dependable built-in refrigerator

I’ve had this refrigerator since 2016 and it’s worked flawlessly. We do regularly clean the coils on top of the refrigerator and keep the seals clean. This minimal maintenance has kept it working great and we’ve never had to contact a repairman. I would be very confident in buying the refrigerator again.

Great Subzero Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Arrived December 2024, removed old Subzero and installed new Kitchenaid. A lot quieter and , more ice. Too soon to rate 5 stars, but definitely 4 and would purchase again. I also added 5 year warranty, for peace of mind, but do understand that what ever the warranty period, the device is designed to out last that time. I got such a great deal that even the price of warranty, free installation was less expensive than traditional list price purchases, so very happy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

can't rate because of damage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door hinge on the refrigerator was bent so waiting on the part to replace so we can use it and put panels on it. Its coming up on a month waiting for a part!!!???

Terrible Purchase, mislead by Kitchenaid

According to the KitchenAid website, their "Panel-Ready Design allows you to install custom front panels and handles over the Side-by-Side Built-In Refrigerator doors to create a seamless look with kitchen cabinetry. Panels and handles not included."
I recently had this refrigerator installed, and it does not provide a seamless look with my cabinetry—it sticks out nearly 2 inches. I've been trying to reach KitchenAid support, but they have not been responsive. Currently, I have been on hold with the 800 number for almost 30 minutes now. If you're aiming for a truly seamless integration with your cabinets, I would not recommend this refrigerator.
