Refrigerator - Great / Freezer - Dissatisfied

Freezer - Ice Maker - 1 star ...
1. The Freezer door is heavy to open as all the ice cubes are stored in the door. My previous KitchenAid Refrigerator/Freezer ... Ice Cubes were made and stored inside the freezer - top shelf. .. Not on the door.
2. Once the ice container is full I cannot remove the entire ice bin from the door in order to pour a large amount of ice into a pitcher. The bin is heavy ... and it will not release. (I even requested repair ... and a new ice bin thinking the original bin release button was broken ... IT DID NOT HELP ... the new bin still doesn't release when full.
3. It takes FOREVER to fill the ice bin on the door when all the ice is used. ... Only 3 ice cubes are made at one time.
4. The Ice Cubes on the door ... melt, then refreeze, melt, then refreeze ... therefore the ice in the bin is frozen solid in a chunk ... you can't reach in and remove a handfull of ice cubes from the top of the bin ... as they are all frozen together.

The ice is dispensed from the door correctly... in individual cubes as expected.

Great features but stopped working after one month

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has not been a month and it stopped working. No water, no ice and no cooling. Today is Friday and service is coming on Monday. Hopefully, it is nothing major. I gave it three stars because we liked the look and the set up of everything. Here’s hoping it’s an easy fix.

Style and functions exactly as we wanted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is exactly what we wanted after searching for the right size to fit our built in space. Water/Ice in door is great. However we have a problem with the ice collector inside the door. It does not come out when we need to get a volume of ice. release button seems to freeze up. Service is scheduled.
I would recommend this to a friend!
