Im actually sure that this is a fine product. The reason I rated so low is that it wasn't a needed item when I ordered my tablet with the keyboard. Unfortunately, however, it was not made clear that the keyboard attachment would serve as a case, negating the need for added protection. I would have appreciated more clarity when I made the purchase because the return process is a pain.

The perfect case for the best budget friendly tab

I bought the tablet with keyboard and pen. With some notable caveats, it's been a reliable alternative for days when my outdated laptop is misbehaving. The speakers produce good audio, the display has good resolution, and the pen/keyboard additions have been very responsive and useful.
I had some initial issues transferring apps and settings from my android phone, and the tablet would constantly tell me to "reconnect my cable". Changing cables and restarting the transfer multiple times did not resolve the problem. I also needed to factory reset my tablet because it wouldn't send audio to connected Bluetooth headphones. This is a recurring problem with this tablet that Lenovo hasn't resolved, but I wasn't aware of it until after I bought the tablet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
