Not as quality as other Braun products I have bought in the past. I am using a Series 3 and the battery doesn't last as long as it used to (had it for about 4 years) so I thought I would upgrade this time. Not so much. Seems cheaply made compared.
It was described as (actually in brackets)
Charging Stand - Yes (No - just a USB cable))
SmartPlug - Yes (All that it had was a USB cable (smart??)
Cleaning Brush - Yes - (NO and it was a factory sealed box and no brush)
SmartPlug - Yes (All that it had was a USB cable (smart??)

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It was all black, no blue stripe

When it arrived from Best Buy, it was all black, no blue stripe. I returned it to the store, the SKU # was correct on the packaging, maybe it changed, and Best Buy didn't update the website photo? who knows. But yes, it works just fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good build quality, very close shave

I have been using the same Braun shaver for 10 years, and decided it was time for an upgrade. Amazingly that razer showed no signs of wear and had the original batteries (NiMH). Based on this experience I wanted another Braun, and based on my simple needs and budget landed on the Series 5. I am very impressed with it - stylish design, very comfortable to hold, large head and nice features (two speeds, lock feature for travelling). Most importantly, it gives a very close shave - I didn't realize how much better this shaver was going to be over my old one. These are still made in Germany for what that is worth, but is certainly still has a quality feel and construction. In short, very happy with it, and good value for money, particularly if I keep this one for another 10 years!
I would recommend this to a friend!
