Best electric I’ve owned

Owned an old Braun about 30 yes. ago. No comparison. This one is almost as close as a blade. Not exactly, but close. I was leery when I bought it because my Norelco was terrible.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worlds Best Shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sampled this powerful little bad boy and was really impressed. The blade is much smaller than what I'm used to and I would like for it to have been a little longer. I thought it wouldn't be able to handle my hairy needs but I was terribly wrong. It did a wonderful job leaving me with a clean smooth shave. I love the fact that it literally takes minutes to charge and the battery lasts awhile. Its not loud and has a luxurious feel. Ive never tried any Braun product before hand but I I will definitely try more of their products and would definitely recommend.

Easy to use, and does an effective job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Braun Shaver 5018s Solo Blue US razor to combat daily stubble and keep neat, orderly lines around my neck and ears when shaving. The result is a close shave with no irritation when shaving wet or dry. It easily cleared out a few days worth of growth with ease, and provided a very smooth, easy experience. It's very lightweight, and also very easy to clean without disassembling the whole thing. The quick charge is a very nice feature as well. I don't always think about charging it, but when I'm in a hurry getting ready for work, I need reliability. The quick charge feature bails me out when I haven't planned ahead properly, and really saves the day.

User Manual Is Useless

The user manual is in pictorial format and is missing a lot of useful product information that would otherwise be documented in text, this leaves the user with an incomplete grasp of the shavers performamce and care requirements.The shaver is extremely noisy especially with the trimmer attachment, this is of concern because of the close proximity to the ears; because Braun has repeatedly declined to provide the actual and specification sound levels for this shaver it is being returned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A bit disappointed

After being a blade shaver for many years, I hoped making the switch to electric would equal the results of my blade. Unfortunately, after a month of daily use, I have yet to get close shave. I really wanted to like this razor but I may be forced to return it and go back to a blade.

Worst shaver I ever owned.

I bought the Braun series 5 5018s with very high expectations. I had a Remington with trimmer on the edge so as I shaved the trimmer cut the long hairs and the shaver blades cleaned up the rest. Perfect system. This Braun has a cheap separate trimmer you have to pop off the shaver and pop on the trimmer. I replaced the permanent battery on my last razor and used it for several years. Now I use an old Nerelco triple blade when I am in a hurry. It is 30 years old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
