The cursor does not work properly when using Word or other word processing features, such as answering this email. The cursor disappears and will not go to the place needed using the touchpad. This is extremely annoying and should not be happening to a new computer.

To resolve this, ensure the touchpad driver was installed and try to adjust the speed and other settings inside Windows 11 Settings>Bluetooth & devices> Touchpad. It is a smart device, if this is your first experience with this kind of touchpad, please allow some time to get use to the multi-touch function of the pad. To improve the touchpad responsiveness and stability, ensure Windows, touchpad and chipset drivers, and the Armoury Crate utility for this laptop are up to date. Updates for this laptop are posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-gaming/tuf-gaming/asus-tuf-gaming-a15-2023/helpdesk_download?model2Name=FA507NU . It is already starting to glitch out and it froze on me and would not shut off or turn on. I’ve only had it seven days and only used it for work on my desk. Probably like three hours a day.

Great computer for all my needs. I didn't give 5 stars because it is not "idiot" friendly. While it does guide you on how to set up most items, there are too many options and programs that are not self-evident. I am still learning this machine, having only used it for a couple of weeks, but so far I am very happy. I have not had an ASUS before so the learning curve is steep for me. If you want an "affordable" machine that will let you do what you need and play games - this works!
