Ice Barrel (Model 400) Best Addition to my Lifestyle!

The barrel was boxed well and was easy to remove from the packaging. The individual parts ( step, stand and cover were thoughtfully wrapped up well. The stand the barrel is placed on makes it very stable. I weigh 225 lbs and the barrel stays very stable when i sit on the edge getting in and out of it. I am 5’11” and with the tubes i have installed from the chiller with the pump, UV water filter and another filter inside the barrel makes it a little cramped quarters. I chose the color black and it looks great on the back porch. The step is sturdy and a good height even for my 5’3 friend that also uses my barrel. I wrapped insulation around the barrel and not sure how much if any difference it makes keeping the water cool. The Ice Barrel material was easy to drill thru for the two holes i made to run the tubes in and out of to attach to the chiller. The meditation style position i assume while in the barrel is so close to my regular seated meditation position for a beautiful serene experience.

Good improvements would be nice

The 4 series has that lip in the top that makes turning the tub upside down and cleaning very difficult as this traps soap and particles. Also a notch in the top or lip so i can put to hose as i fill up and it not work its way out would be sweet. Most important would be a place to put my phone on the edge so i can distract myself or time my self would be the bomb. Otherwise love it. should have waited for the 5 series DOH!

We are 50+ years old and our purchase of the Ice Barrel was one of the best we’ve ever made. We use it prior to our workouts and the improvement we’ve seen is incredible- our overall health has improved so much!!! Recommending to all we know- don’t delay!

Great Addition To Our Wellness Routine

My son (18) and I (47) have loved adding Ice Barrel to our morning exercise and recovery routine. We do 3-5 minutes at 48 degrees each day. I've noticed significantly more energy throughout the entire day and my son effectively uses the Ice Barrel to keep his knees and ankles fresh throughout the basketball season. We're both still waiting for an invitation to join the Ice Barrel app (we've been waiting 6 weeks), but other than that, we're very happy. And, we've pre-ordered a chiller that should arrive in early spring!

Expensive but good

This is a basic barrel and is good quality. Very basic and functional. I think it is expensive for what it is, a huge plastic barrel. I leave in my garage during the winter and it holds 50 F. There is no insulation or other ways to control the cooling/heating of the surrounding area , so unsure of the summer plan for this? Overall happy with the product.
