We were excited to build it and see it completed. However, there are 3 missing pieces, which is rare for a LEGO set based on my previous experiences. Now we can’t even finish it due to the missing pieces. It’s super disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is complex kit that is really fun to build by following the directions step-by-step but does not allow for creative building. It has a lot of connecting pieces and very few bricks. It is a nice size for display but too big for playability. It will take a lot of imagination to build anything other than the intended car with the amount of specialized parts and lack of bricks. It is so fun to build that I would be happy taking it apart and reassembling it again and again.

I thought the build was challenging and fun. I have the McLaren F1 car and the builds were both similar but very different. I enjoyed that aspect since the cars should be different. I can’t wait to see how the Ferrari F1 car coming out in 2025 will be different.

My wife has been into legos for a few months so last month I picked up the mclaren. That was a fun build but i did not like how few bags it had. This build is the new style of legos like my wife's sets. I also thought it was going to be a mirror image of my build the week before and it was not at all. This build was a good change of pace and comes out way more realistic.
