Fantastic aesthetics

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is eye-popping right out of the box. That probably sounds ridiculous, but there's just something about the texture of the rubber and the metallic top piece that were an instant hit with me. Functionally perfect, so far. I have had not issues while using it with my phone or my computer. I was hoping to add it to my console for some additional storage there, but more would be required than I plan to do for now. The amount of storage is incredible for such a compact drive. Overall, the entire thing is a huge win!

Pocket Power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little hard drive from Samsung is impressive. I connected it to my cellphone and transferred 303 files in less than 30 seconds. It's easy to use and fast. I did have to use an adapter to connect it to my laptop though. The connecting cable is USB-C on both ends of the cable, but don't let that stop you from getting this hard drive. It's 2 TB in a small pocket-sized device. I will continue to use this drive to backup the pictures from my cell phone. 2 TB is a lot of storage space, especially for pictures. The drive is the perfect weight to carry around in your pocket or purse in case you need to store data or transfer data from one device to another.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lightning Speeds, Secure and Mighty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little guy can be characterized as a powerhouse, in a few different meanings.
The most important detail, when considering a portable SSD, is how well it will hold up outside of a safe, office environment. The T5 Evo Portable SSD answers that question by encasing a quality SSD in a shock-resistant rubber housing. The materials appear high quality, even if you have to slightly sacrifice some of its "looking new"-ness by way of how much dust and scuffs the rubber housing can show. Ultimately, this is designed to be something you can toss in a bag, pocket or any other on-the-go accessory. Also, it is very lightweight. At just over 100 grams, this weighs just about as much as a stick of butter.
With regards to its performance, you know you can trust Samsung and you (hopefully) know the performance benefits of an SSD over a standard, external HDD. The "solid-state" aspect of the SSD makes lightning speeds of any programs kept within it or the transferring of files between various electronics (smartphone, laptop, camera, etc.). The T5 Evo SSD boasts speeds of up to 460 MB/s, which will surely make quick work of the majority of the files that you may want to use this for.
Lastly, a great benefit to have in today's world is its 256-bit AES encryption capabilities. AES 256 encryption is rated as "extremely secure" and touted as one of the most secure encryption algorithms available today. Again, you can't be too secure in today's world and that is especially true for something that stores a large amount of data and designed to be portable in use.
The T5 Evo claims to work in temperatures as low as 32 degrees (0 degrees C) Fahrenheit and can operate in environments as high as 140 degrees (60 degrees C) Fahrenheit. It comes with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable, yet that cable is also designed to be used near the main source you're connecting it to. If you are planning to use this at your home office desk, and your USB port is more than 6 inches from you, you will likely need to get a longer cable to easily plug and unplug the SSD.
At 2TB, 4TB & 8TB options you get a variety of storage levels to suit your specific needs. I would recommend this product and have enjoyed its performance.

Great for cars too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Samsung T5 EVO 2TB SSD for my car for a couple of weeks and it's been great. I drive a model X which now supports Steam games. Since the onboard memory is not enough if you have a big library of games, having the T5 EVO SSD is perfect. Connection was easy through one cable in the glovebox and formatting took less than 30 seconds.
After formatted, I loaded all my games on the SDD and thanks to the 460mb/s read speeds, the games ran without lag or jitter.
The drive's construction is solid and it's light while not feeling cheap. The case has a rubber material that is non slip while not attracting finger prints.

It is not only the best portable SSD in the market but also has an excellent read and write speed. It comes it differnt storage options to meet your requirements. I am using T5 EVO to store my pictures and videos and 2 TB space is decent storage size. Another great feature is the ability to password protect the drive to avoid unauthorized data access. It has shock resistant rubber design to protect the SSD if it falls accidently. Overall, it is a compact, secured and well built SSD to save your important data and I defintely recommend it to others.

I can’t believe 2TB can really be this small. Its sleek, minimalist design feels premium in your hand and shrugs off bumps with its sturdy rubberized casing. This lightweight wonder easily slips into a bag or even a small safe, so your precious photos and videos are always on the go.
Connecting via a convenient USB-C port, the T5 EVO is plug-and-play even for tech newbies. Autoplay guides you through file transfers, and speeds are quick enough for everyday tasks. Although it originally writes slower than advertised on our home computer (could be our USB port) it’s still snappy for everyday tasks like photos and videos, especially after switching to a faster USB port on my work laptop as the software suggests. Moving a 10GB folder took just under a minute – not bad for a pocket-sized drive. You don’t need the additional programs that Samsung offers, like Magician, but they are a nice compliment, especially the ability to add security.

Amazing speed that out performs my pcs ssd

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I use this drive as my personal library for work that I keep a multitude of files on that I use frequently. The speed of this drive is astonishing! I have recently recieved a new computer that had too small of a hard drive so I keep my former desktop files on the SSD. When searching for some files that I lost track on my PC with its own SSD, it took 10 minutes to complete a search if the full hard drive, the same search on the t5 Evo was instantaneous. The size of the drive is superior to my former external HD and the security exe on the Evo makes my files files more secure than they have ever been. This is another homerun from Samsung! I absolutely love this product.

Small yet Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a content creator who does everything with my phone. I'm always running out of storage. So to have something so small and portable and packing a huge amount of storage in it is a win!
Love how it feels in the hand and I'm not worried about it getting scratched up or falling to the ground if it was accidentally bumped into. So glad that it's a USB-C connection as most devices are now adopting this type of connection into everything. Talking about speeds too, I usually try to shoot my content at the highest quality and for it to transfer over to the T5 Evo it takes seconds!
Very much content with the products Samsung is pushing out and here for their future lineups.
