The fact thats encrypted gives me peace so i dont have to wory if i loose it. The it seems like its very protected incase of accidentle drops.

Frequent "device not ready" errors

I picked the 8 TB version up back in December. During the initial transfer from my old HDD, I noticed the transfer interrupted a couple of times. Not a big deal at first, but lately it has gotten really bad. Constantly getting "device is not ready" errors when trying to browse the contents. I have to reseat the cable to get it working again every 15 minutes. I really wanted to like this, but this was a very expensive drive to have these frequent disconnects.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
