I’ve used it for everything from backing up photos to moving big video files, and it hasn’t let me down once. It works right out of the box with all my devices, no fuss. My favorite feature is the ability to see your SSD health for an external SSD drive through Samsung Magician software. This gives me peace of mind because I know my SSD is still good to go.

Got it on Wednesday. Spent two days copying my data to it. It's now Saturday morning and it's dead. Very annoying.

I just had it yesterday. I am surprised that you cannot open the drive if the password is enabled from other PCs without installing the drive software.
It is not like other portable drives with pop-up messages asking for a password to unlock the drive. using the drive this way will be limited and not helpful.
I do not recommend buying it, and I regret purchasing it, as it was not previously announced that its use was limited by installing the software. I am not going to trust such a product in the future.
