I attribute the longevity of my previous phone, a Samsung S5 Active, directly to the protection
provided by the OtterBox Defender case. My S5 my still worked well after 7 years but I upgraded
to the newer S24 model and wanted to insure the longevity of this phone by also protecting it with a
Defender case. The protection, durability, and build quality provided by the case and screen cover
is just as good as the Defender case I previously purchased. My issue with this Defender series is because the screen protector adheres directly to the screen, and even an inadvertent touch affects the adherence to the glass. Obviously I was at fault for not being careful enough during the application of the screen to the glass. I just did not think it would it would be that sensitive, as I was trying to as
meticulous as possible at the time of installation. The other issue is the clear case - it already has several scratches and of course, in normal, use, it will get scratched. It’s just that with the clear
case every little scratch is noticeable. I am going to the black case at next purchase. Yes, I will continue to purchase Otter Box products. The products are great. I guess I just I wanted to let you know my experience.
