The cameras do not go 300'. They are open in line of sight; no buildings, walls, etc. The ma is more like 150-200'. Otherwise the software and overall product are as expected.

Here is the type of company you will be dealing with if you purchase a Night Owl security system. I have had my system for many years. It worked perfectly. Recently, I had to replace my cell phones. The Night Owl app is not compatible with the new phones. Night Owl thought it was a good idea NOT to update the app but force the older, loyal customers to purchase NEW equipment instead of simply up dating the app. I am a disabled Vet and can't afford to buy a new system nor am I physically able to install it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Back NVR featurs

I have old 2016 and 2019 wired Night Owl systems. The settings in the DVR are amazing when looking via a monitor. I can play, fast forward (16X), fast back (16x) , skip forward, and skip back. These new systems, there is only play and fast forward (8x). NO skip ahead. On my old system, when I have it on 16x, I can also manually jump head with a mouse to any point in the timeline and it stays on 16x. This one, the no skip ahead is annoying but when I have it on 8x and manually try to jump ahead with the mouse, it turns off the 8x so if your looking for something, your continuously having to click the fast button over and over and over....cameras are a step up from my 720p cameras but the NVR is back in the 90s. If you didn't know the old system, you wouldn't know what your missing with the new system. I think I'll buy new wired cameras and use the old DVRs.

The product information is very deceptive. I primarily purchased this camera because of its ability to remotely operate and move the camera, which the product description does not mention is only available as a stand-alone feature. The stand-alone setup is not user-friendly.

This is an awesome surveillance system for the price...it’s super easy to get up and running. Picture quality, color, and clarity is fine. I also added the camera door bell. It integrated well.

Night Owl has build a Great Product

Last Year, I used to complain a lot about this wireless system. I understood it was a new product. I knew that as with any new product, it may bring many bugs and issues. I still own the product, and I have witnessed all the improvements Night Owl has made to it.
Today, I am glad to share how well my cameras perform after the great firmware updates Night Owl is constantly releasing, and the quality, clarity, and excellent performance this product offers. I recommend this system, and I look forward to the products Night Owl will have in the future.
