Night Owl has build a Great Product

Last Year, I used to complain a lot about this wireless system. I understood it was a new product. I knew that as with any new product, it may bring many bugs and issues. I still own the product, and I have witnessed all the improvements Night Owl has made to it.
Today, I am glad to share how well my cameras perform after the great firmware updates Night Owl is constantly releasing, and the quality, clarity, and excellent performance this product offers. I recommend this system, and I look forward to the products Night Owl will have in the future.

I installed a Night Owl 8 camera system just over a year ago in my "Doghouse". That's my air conditioned shop where we play music weekly ( and yes sometimes weakly). Only 4 cameras worked all the time. After ordering 2 more antennas (one for base unit and one for camera) all 8 function well. My doghouse is a 40'x50' metal building so wireless range is reduced. 3 cameras that would seldom work (mounted outside) now work with antenna inside hooked to outside cameras. 2 others that would work sporadically, now work consistently, since base unit has one antenna outside Doghouse.

I read reviews on this product and wanted to try something my signal on my one camera was in and out i am not if it was to far away or to many walls between the camera and the box but it fixed the problem.

One location not working

I really like my Night Owl system but have one camera that I can't get to connect. I know the location is not ideal so I bought the extender antenna but it's still not working on a consistent basis. Occasionally I get a signal but not very often. This tells me I'm close but need something a bit better. Anyone have any ideas on a better antenna? I can't really move it closer so adding cable isn't going to help. Thanks

Thank you for the feedback. Please keep in mind, obstacles located between your camera and wireless device will impact the signal strength. When your wireless signal is transmitted through various materials, such as walls and windows, the signal strength is affected. Though the wireless device and camera may be very close in proximity, you could still notice high signal interference if the signal passes through certain obstacles. For instance, if the signal passes through a concrete wall it will be severely weakened.

Im not great with electronics. This is simple simple simple. I plugged it in, hung them up and was done inside of 20mins. Going to take some fine tuning, but, not much.

You should sell 50 ft cables and adapters for this antenna the 9 ft doesn't do much as far as extending signal on a house of our size

Most of our 1080p wireless cameras can be installed up to 300 ft. from your wireless device. Please note this is with direct line of sight. The more obstacles between your camera and wireless device, the weaker the signal strength. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
