I bought this about a month ago for my 6 month old son when he outgrew his baby bath tub. The quality and ease of use is exceptional. When secured to the back and sides of the tub, the seat stays put until you release it. This allows my son to sit securely in the tub and play with his toys and gives me the piece of mind that if he leans in any direction he can't go anywhere. The product is well made and easy to clean. The Summer Infant bath seat has made bath time much more enjoyable for all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Summer infant bath seat as part of the WeeSpring parent panel. I appreciate that the company wants my child to be very safe in the bathtub but they still haven’t worked out all the kinks. The bath seat was physically difficult to install even though the instructions were easy enough to follow. It was hard to put the arms in place and ultimately, the baby was sitting sideways which I felt was awkward. Once the seat was finally secure, it felt very safe which I really liked. However, once removed from the bathtub, it takes a really long time to get it back into a collapsed down form to store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for transitioning to a tub

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I LOVE our "Summer Infant My Bath Seat". This is a great product. My son was able to sit up with very minimal assistance since he was 5 months old, and loved to reach outside of his little infant tub - which made bath time frustrating. With the My Bath Seat, we were able to securely place him in the tub.
Installation is easy, just "unscrew" each leg on the side and behind then suction to sides of the tub and tighten to ensure stability. The My Bath Seat has suction cups on the bottom of the seat and on the sides, the cups suctioned REALLY well to our tub, we never had an issue with it. Since, our baby bathes in our guest bathroom, we just left the seat suctioned to the tub and rinsed it after each bath.
My baby was able to sit comfortably in the seat and still reach forward and splash water and play with his bath toys. At around 7-8 months, my baby was able to stand and loved to attempt to stand in the tub. However, with the Summer Infant My Bath Seat, he wasn't able to stand in the tub - it held him in SECURELY, we never had any fears of him standing in the tub after that. The manual suggests use up to 10 months, my only disappointment was that we were unable to use past 8.5 months or so... my son just got too big for it, he would no longer fit. If your baby is on the smaller side (mine has been in upper 90s percentile and deliciously chunky) you may be able to use it up to 10 mo and possibly longer.
We loved, loved, loved this product and wish were able to use it for longer and wished we heard about it before. I think this is a great product for babies who are able to hold themselves up and sit up with little to no assistance from an early age. This makes bath time less stressful for babies who love to move around and like being active and mobile. It truly is like a seat that offers great support - whether they lean backward or forwards. Most importantly, this freed up my hands for bath time, enabling me to bath my child but also engage with him and have fun splashing and playing with him. This made bath time fun and less stressful.
Only cons are that we were unable to use for a longer time and that it was a bit bulky to travel with. Though it isn't a necessity for travel, it certainly made bath time in a new place more baby-friendly and less of a hassle for myself and my husband.
Again, I highly recommend this product - most especially for mobile and active babies.
I was given this bath seat to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, all opinions are unbiased and my own.

My baby got stuck

While taking a bath in this bath seat, my 8 month old son quickly turned to the side to look at something and his right leg slipped out of the front leg hole and into the side hole. No one in the house was able to get him out, he was stuck and screaming. I had to call 911 and it took 3 firemen to remove him from the seat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very handy!

I don’t know that I would have thought of getting something like this otherwise, but it is amazing for bathing my infant and toddler at the same time! I love being able to sit my baby (now 8 months, but have had the seat since age 5.5 months) in the seat and let my 2 year old splash on the other side of the tub so I can do their baths at the same time - total timesaver!
Pros: well built, high quality, safely secures to the tub walls, easy to install/remove
Cons: the suction cup arm that is behind the seat is very long, so it takes up about half the tub, leaving less room for my 2 year old than he would like. It’s a little tricky to wash my daughter’s bottom while in the seat, so we always have her get out and do that part out of the tub
Overall great product for someone with two littlest to bathe :)

Great seat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seat is great! I have twins, so it is nice to be able to place one baby in the seat while washing the other baby. I love that it tightens to the sides of the tub - it makes it much more secure than the other seats I have used with suction cups on the bottom. Overall, I would us this item again. It helps my babies sit up in the bath without them trying to crawl around everywhere. Great product, Summer Infant!

A great transition for bath time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely a hit with the kid because he could play with his toys and splash around, but some nervous moments for mom and dad. There was only one problem using it, and it was a kid might get their leg caught between the seat and the side of the tub if they try to twist to one side or the other. Otherwise it’s a great product and I wish we had it sooner, maybe then the kid wouldn’t have hated baths so much.
