Did not really know what planking was until we bought the bed, I guess it’s when you buy a bed, wait for it to unpack itself, and then sleep on it for over a month all the while waiting for it to soften up and not feel like your sleeping on a PLANK. Still not there, It has been 40 days now and G.B. finally sent us a topper to make it softer, but why did we buy the bed in the first place if they just send you a topper? They need to offer more options when it comes to comfort levels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great bed - a good night's sleep

I'm happy with the ghost bed after the first two weeks. At first it was a little firm but either I have adjusted or it has softened. I sleep all night without waking like i did with the old bed.

Was a little skeptical at first but this bed ended up being the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I can not even tell when my cat jumps on and off the bed. Highly recommend this mattress.

Normally, when I buy products from online, I automatically read reviews on the product. I needed a new bed and I didn't want to spend an insane amount of money on something if I didn't know if I was going to like it. It did take me a little under two weeks to finally get used to the bed, but since then it's been absolutely amazing. I'm getting a lot more sleep during the night and everyday I wake up with less back pain than ever before. Never in a million years did I think a bed that came in a box could be this comfortable!

My wife and I have never slept better. All of my back issues are gone! The mattress is very firm but hugs your whole body like a fluffy cloud. We are thrilled with our purchase.

Pleasantly Surprised!

They say getting old isn't for the faint of heart, and, wow, are they ever right. I'd been sleeping on a ten-year-old innerspring mattress with four layers of regular foam encased in the standard damask cover, plus a 3" layer of memory foam topper over top. Yet, every morning I hobbled out of bed with aching joints, shoulder, neck, and lower back pain. Yikes! I'm not THAT old, but there it is. I began looking for a new memory-foam type bed, but didn't have a big budget. While reading reviews, and watching you-tube videos, I saw many positive reviews of many mattresses, including Ghostbed. I realized it was the equal of more expensive foam mattress, yet it was within my budget. It was delivered to my door very quickly. A twenty dollar bill bribe to the lovely fedex fellow got the heavy box taken up the stairs to the second floor. From there I "walked" the box into the bedroom, opened it, and got the mattress on the bed by myself. No illusions here, I was definitely huffing and puffing by the finish. It expanded to full size almost immediately, with very little odor, and was fully expanded after eight hours. That night I slept very well, and have since. Morning wake-ups are better, leading to better days. The mattress is a medium firm support, and sleeps cool. Such a pleasant surprise, and absolutely no regrets on my purchase. Good sleep is monumentally essential to good mental and physical health. Ghostbed is giving me better sleep than I've had in years.

Transitioned from Tempurpedic to Ghostbed. Thus far I am very satisfied. The price absolutely beats Tempurpedic. Very comfortable bed!
